Daffodil International University (DIU) turned its Daffodil Smart City campus into an emotional haven today as it observed Parents’ Day 2025, a day dedicated to honouring the unbreakable bond between students, parents and educators.

Organised by the Art of Living (AOL) programme under the Office of Students’ Affairs, the daylong event drew over 2,000 students and their parents, transforming the campus into a space brimming with gratitude, affection and tearful embraces.

Renowned actor, writer and cultural personality Abul Hayat, the chief guest, delivered an inspiring address: “Parents are the first university in every child’s life. No matter how the world changes, the love and moral values instilled by family remain a young person’s greatest strength. DIU’s blend of modern education with humanity is truly praiseworthy.”

Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr M R Kabir expressed deep appreciation to parents, saying: “Our goal is not just to impart knowledge but to nurture character, empathy and responsibility. Parents’ Day reminds us that behind every student’s success lies the strong foundation built by family.”

Founder and Chairman Dr Md Sabur Khan highlighted DIU’s commitment to value-based education: “We aim to produce a generation that leads with integrity, ethics and humanity. Parents’ Day shows that education goes beyond books – it is a shared journey of family, community and meaningful experiences.”

Parents also toured campus facilities and held detailed discussions with university officials on their children’s academic and personal growth.

Parents’ Day 2025 has reinforced emotional bonds while strengthening the university-family partnership, fostering morally grounded and responsible future leaders.
