30 Students Expelled from Tamirul Millat Kamil Madrasah Over Cheating

Tamirul Millat Kamil Madrasah in Tongi, Gazipur, has expelled 30 students following allegations of adopting unfair means and tampering with answer sheets during recent examinations. The decision was formally announced in a special notice issued by the madrasah administration on Monday (August 3).

The official notice was signed by the institution's Principal, Dr. Md. Hefzur Rahman, and Assistant Professor Mohammad Salman, member of the examination management committee. According to the notice, punitive measures were enforced after internal investigations and answer sheet re-evaluations confirmed malpractice during the Half-Yearly Examinations (Child Class to Class 9), Pre-Test Examinations (Class 10), and the Alim 1st Year Final Examination 2026.

An analysis of the expelled list indicates that Alim 1st Year recorded the highest number of offenses, with 12 students expelled. The remaining penalized students comprise 8 from Class 7, 3 from Class 8, 3 from Class 10, 2 from Class 9, and 2 from Class 6.

Subject-wise findings revealed that the largest count of answer sheet fraud occurred in English 2nd Paper, involving 11 students. Further irregularities were verified across several other subjects, including Arabic 1st and 2nd Papers, ICT, Nahu, Balaghat-Mantiq, Quran, Civics, History, and various Science stream subjects.

Speaking on the matter, Principal Dr. Hefzur Rahman stated that decisive action was essential to maintain the institution's long-held reputation, academic standard, exam transparency, and institutional discipline. He reiterated that a strict "zero tolerance" policy will remain in effect regarding any future instances of forgery or unfair practices.
