List of 100 Teachers Released for 7-Day Training Program
The Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education (DSHE) has released a list of 100 physical education teachers from secondary schools, madrasas (Dakhil), and technical (Vocational) institutions for the upcoming 35th Refreshers Course. The seven-day training program is scheduled to be held from May 8 to May 14 at the Chittagong Divisional Government Physical Education College in Halishahar.
According to a DSHE notification issued today, Monday (May 4), the selected teachers must report to the training venue by 4:00 PM on May 7. To facilitate their participation, all nominated teachers will be considered "instantly released" from their respective institutions from the afternoon of May 6.
Important Instructions for Participants
The notification outlined several mandatory requirements for the trainee teachers:
-
Allowances and Transport: The Department of Physical Education will bear the TA/DA expenses. Trainees must submit original bus or train tickets (Non-AC) along with their TA bill for reimbursement.
-
Essential Items: Participants are required to bring their own bedding (pillows, quilts, mattresses, mosquito nets, and bed sheets) for their stay at the college.
-
Personal Gear: Each teacher must bring one pair of sneakers and two passport-sized photographs.
-
Documentation: A formal release letter from the head of their respective institution is mandatory for joining the course.
Disciplinary Action Warning
The training period from May 7 to May 15 will be treated as "duty leave" for the participating teachers. However, the authorities have issued a stern warning that any nominated teacher who fails to attend the training will face departmental disciplinary action.
The move is part of the government's ongoing efforts to enhance the professional skills of physical education instructors across various types of educational institutions in the country. Participants are advised to check the official list to confirm their nomination and begin preparations for the week-long residential course.
