Officers and employees have been instructed to be present in their respective office rooms from 9:00 AM to 9:40 AM every day by the Bangladesh Madrasa Education Board. Along with this, a set of directives has been issued to save electricity and fuel and to keep office rooms clean and tidy. A six-member committee has also been formed to ensure proper implementation of these instructions.

This information was announced in an official notice issued by the Board on Wednesday (April 1).

The Directives are as follows:

  1. Every day, all officers and employees must mandatorily remain present in their own office rooms from 9:00 AM to 9:40 AM. Care must be taken so that this time slot does not disrupt the preparation of daily official schedules.
  2. During daytime, if there is sufficient natural light, electricity consumption for lights must be minimized. Natural light should be utilized by keeping windows, doors, or blinds open.
  3. Only the necessary number of lights, fans, air conditioners, and other electrical appliances should be used during office hours.
  4. When using air conditioners, the temperature must be kept at 25 degrees Celsius or above.
  5. When leaving the office room, all electrical equipment including lights, fans, and air conditioners must be turned off.
  6. Unnecessary use of lights in corridors, staircases, washrooms, and other common areas of the office must be stopped.
  7. After office hours, it must be ensured that all electrical appliances (lights, fans, computers, printers, scanners, air conditioners, etc.) are switched off.
  8. Decorative lighting must be avoided unless instructed by the government.
  9. Fuel consumption must be kept economical.
  10. Overall cleanliness and tidiness of the office must be maintained.

A six-member committee has been formed to ensure proper compliance with these directives.
