All madrasas to close for 46 straight days from 11 February

All madrasas nationwide will begin a continuous 46‑day break starting 11 February, the government’s election holiday period that extends into Ramadan and other observances, according to the Education Ministry’s holiday list issued on 20 January.
Holiday rundown:
- 11–12 Feb: national election holidays.
- 13–14 Feb: Friday–Saturday weekend.
- From 15 Feb: Ramadan recess begins.
- 21 Feb: Shaheed Day and International Mother Language Day.
- 17 Mar: Shab‑e‑Qadr.
- 20 Mar: Juma’tul Wida.
- 21 Mar: Eid‑ul‑Fitr.
- 26 Mar: Independence and National Day.
- 27–28 Mar: Friday–Saturday weekend.
Classes resume 29 March.
The second-longest break will be a 15‑day Eid‑ul‑Azha and summer recess from 24 May to 11 June.
