49th BCS results likely this week

The results of the 49th special BCS (Education) written exam may be published this week.
However, the Bangladesh Public Service Commission (BPSC) will decide how to release them after addressing several issues.
A BPSC source confirmed this to The Daily Campus on Saturday.
The written exam was held on Friday (October 10) from 10:00am to noon at centers in Dhaka only.
The 49th BCS will recruit 683 posts in the general education cadre. Over 3.12 lakh candidates applied, with more than 456 per post.
A BPSC official said, “Many factors are involved this time, so the result format isn't finalized yet. Officials will decide. The oral exam is set for October 26, so results must come this week. We hope to announce soon.”
The exam had 200 MCQs, with 1 mark per correct answer and 0.50 deducted for wrong ones. Duration: two hours.
