The Public Service Commission has released the 46th BCS final result, provisionally recommending 1,457 candidates for appointment. (See the preliminary list on the PSC website.)
Key PSC notice points:
- Nominations are provisional. Before appointment, the recruiting authority must verify all certificates, documents, and information under Rule 8 of the 46th BCS 2023 circular and the candidate’s declaration. Any false or tampered data, forged or altered certificates, hidden facts, or substantive incompletion will cancel the nomination; criminal action may follow. If such facts surface after joining, the candidate can be dismissed and face legal action.
- Cadre nominees will be appointed only after being declared fit by a Health Directorate medical board and after pre‑appointment background checks by the proper agency, under the BCS (Age, Qualification and Direct Recruitment for Examination) Rules, 2014.
- The recruiting authority must, per government decisions, verify health, educational certificates, other documents, and where applicable height, chest, and weight, plus pre‑appointment background checks through the proper agency before confirming appointment.
- PSC reserves the right to correct any errors in the published nominations. A nomination does not guarantee employment or create a right to appointment; all recruitment rules and formalities must be completed by the hiring authority.
Vacancy mapping under this cadre round (as planned): 1,682 assistant surgeons and 16 assistant dental surgeons in the health cadre; 920 in the education cadre; 274 in administration; 80 in police; 10 in foreign affairs; and other professional cadre posts according to available vacancies.
