44th BCS non-cadre posts increased, PSC issues new guidelines
The Bangladesh Public Service Commission (BPSC) has issued fresh guidelines on preference order for candidates of the 44th BCS non-cadre posts. Some changes have been made to the number of posts in the preference list, with positions under two ministries added. Candidates may submit a new preference order or retain their previous one if they wish.
The information was announced in a notice signed by BPSC Exam Controller Masuma Afrin on Sunday (7 December).
There are 659 posts in ninth grade, 3,044 in 10th grade and 416 in 11th grade. With the addition of posts from two ministries, a total of 4,119 positions will be filled. The previous notice had mentioned 3,977 posts, an increase of 142.
The notice stated that a circular calling for preference orders for the 44th BCS non-cadre posts was published on 25 November by the BPSC. With the inclusion of requisitions for 124 posts from the Ministry of Labour and Employment and 18 from the Ministry of Fisheries and Livestock, an updated circular is being issued.
Candidates who have already submitted their preference orders must resubmit if they are interested in the new posts under the two ministries. Otherwise, no changes are needed. See the full list here.
