Dr. Golam Rabbani appointed as new VC of NSTU

Professor Dr. Golam Rabbani has been appointed as the new Vice-Chancellor of Noakhali Science and Technology University (NSTU). He is currently a Professor at the Institute of Social Welfare and Research (ISWR) of Dhaka University (DU).

A notification was issued on Thursday (May 14) appointing Dr. Golam Rabbani as the VC of NSTU. The order, issued by command of the President, was signed by Md. Shah Alam Siraj, Assistant Secretary of the Secondary and Higher Education Division.

The notification stated, "In accordance with Section 10(1) of the Noakhali Science and Technology University Act, 2001, Professor Dr. Golam Rabbani has been appointed to the post of Vice-Chancellor of Noakhali Science and Technology University under the following conditions:

The term of his appointment as Vice-Chancellor will be for 4 (four) years from the date of joining or until the date of retirement, whichever occurs first. He will receive salary and allowances equivalent to his current position and will enjoy other benefits related to the post as per regulations. As the Chief Executive Officer of the university, he must reside on the university campus full-time. The President and Chancellor may cancel this appointment at any time if necessary."
