All educational institutions to close for five straight days

All schools and colleges nationwide will shut for five consecutive days from 11 to 15 February, marking the year’s first long break and the fifth scheduled holiday block on the calendar.
The schedule:
- 11–12 February: Public holidays for the 13th National Parliament election.
- 13–14 February: Friday and Saturday weekly holidays.
- 15 February: Closure for the Hindu festival Shree Shree Shivaratri Brata.
The government says the closure aims to ensure the election proceeds smoothly, peacefully, and transparently, and has asked institution authorities to implement the holiday as directed.
