64 districts get new SPs for 13th National Election: Full list
The interim government has reshuffled police superintendents (SPs) in all 64 districts to ensure impartial law and order ahead of the 13th national parliamentary elections.
The gazette notification, issued today Wednesday (26 November) under the President's order, was signed by Home Ministry's Police-1 Branch Deputy Secretary Md Mahbubur Rahman.
Out of the 64 postings, 13 SPs have been withdrawn from their current assignments, while 51 have been transferred to new districts. The selections were finalised through a lottery on 24 November at Chief Adviser Prof Muhammad Yunus's residence in Yamuna.
The lottery was attended by Acting IGP and DMP Commissioner Sheikh Mohammad Sajjat Ali, senior home ministry officials, and representatives from the Chief Adviser's Office.

The reshuffle ensures neutral policing during the polls, with officers from the 25th, 27th and 28th batches of the police cadre prioritised. Next, OCs for police stations will be selected through a similar lottery process.
