HSC 2026: How to Apply for Board Result Re-scrutiny
The results of this year's Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and equivalent examinations will be published at 11am on Saturday (October 31). Education Minister Dr ANM Ehsanul Haque Milon will inaugurate the result publication process at a programme at the Secretariat organised by the Ministry of Education.
The results will be made available simultaneously through students' respective educational institutions and online immediately after the inauguration.
Students dissatisfied with their results will be able to apply online for re-scrutiny of their results and answer scripts from Sunday (November 1). The application window will remain open until November 7.
The Dhaka Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education has published detailed instructions on how to apply. The education board has clarified that applications will not be accepted manually.
How to apply for HSC result re-scrutiny
Students must visit the designated website and enter their roll and registration numbers in the specified fields. They must then select their education board from the drop-down menu and click the 'Submit' button.
Students will subsequently be asked to provide a mobile phone number. The re-scrutiny results will be sent to this number by SMS once they are published.
The next screen will display the student's subject-wise results. Students wishing to apply for re-scrutiny in one or more subjects must select the relevant subjects and click the 'Pay Fee' button.
A fee of Tk 150 will be charged for each paper. For subjects consisting of two papers, applications must be submitted for both papers.
The next screen will display the total amount payable. Students can pay the fee through bKash, Nagad, DBBL Rocket, Upay and Sonali Seba.
Detailed instructions on the payment process are available by clicking the 'Help' button on the re-scrutiny portal.
After completing the payment, students must return to the application portal and click the 'Submit' button to finalise their applications.
Can students add or change subjects after applying?
According to the education board, students who have already paid the fee and submitted an application can add more subjects by following the same procedure. However, they will not need to provide their mobile phone number again.
Students who need to modify or revise their applications before paying the fee can click the 'Delete' button to withdraw the selected subjects for which payment has not yet been made. They can then select subjects again.
However, once the fee has been paid, the subjects included in the application cannot be cancelled under any circumstances. The education board has also clarified that application fees will not be refunded under any circumstances.
