HSC-Alim Results Set to Be Published Soon, Ministry Prepared
The results of this year's Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and equivalent examinations, including Alim, will be published at 11am today (Saturday, October 31).
Education and Primary and Mass Education Minister Dr ANM Ehsanul Haque Milon will inaugurate the result publication process at a programme in the conference room of the Education Ministry at the Secretariat. Relevant officials have already arrived at the venue, where preparations are underway.
The results will be published simultaneously online and through the respective educational institutions immediately after the inauguration. The announcement will end the wait of 1,270,583 candidates who appeared under the country's 11 education boards over the past two and a half months. However, a considerable number of candidates remained absent from the examinations.
The 2026 HSC and equivalent examinations began on July 2. Written examinations were scheduled to conclude on August 8, but some examinations under several education boards, including the Chattogram Board, were postponed due to natural disasters and floods and were held later. Practical examinations were completed by August 15.
The Inter-Education Board Coordination Committee said the results would be available simultaneously through educational institutions and online as soon as the education minister inaugurates the publication process. Institutions will be able to download their result sheets, while candidates can also obtain their results through SMS.
According to the committee, educational institutions must collect the published results through the websites eduboardresults.gov.bd and educationboardresults.gov.bd. Institutions have been advised to visit the Result section of either website, select the relevant board and enter their institution's EIIN to download and publish the results.
Candidates will also be able to collect their results from their respective educational institutions. They can access the results through the common education board websites, eduboardresults.gov.bd and educationboardresults.gov.bd, as well as the websites of their respective education boards.
Candidates can also obtain their results by sending an SMS from any mobile phone number to 16140. To receive the results, they must type HSC, followed by a space, the first three letters of their education board's name, another space, their roll number, another space and the examination year, then send the message to 16140.
For example, a candidate under the Dhaka Board should send: HSC Dha 123456 2026 to 16140.
The Inter-Education Board Coordination Committee further said results would not be available at education boards, the Education Ministry or newspaper offices.
Applications for re-scrutiny of results will be accepted online from November 1 to November 7. The application process and relevant instructions have been published on the education boards' websites.
