Inter-Education Board Issues Urgent Instructions for HSC Practical Exams

The Inter-Education Board Exam Controller Committee has issued three urgent directives to center in-charges across the country to ensure the smooth, transparent, and fair conduct of the Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and equivalent practical examinations.

The instructions were issued through an official notice signed by Professor Jasmin Taslima Banu, Convener of the Inter-Education Board Exam Controller Committee and Controller of Examinations at the Dhaka Education Board, on Tuesday (August 4).

Key Directives for Exam Center In-Charges

• Presence of Internal and External Examiners: Both the internal and external examiners must be physically present when entering and finalizing practical examination marks.

• Adequate Equipment Readiness: Examination centers currently lacking sufficient apparatus, chemical reagents, or practical examination equipment must make all necessary procurements prior to the start of the exams.

• Strict Prohibitions on Extra Fees: Collecting any additional or unauthorized fees from examinees under the pretext of practical examinations is strictly prohibited. The board authority warned that immediate legal action will be initiated if any complaints regarding extortion or fee inflation are verified.
