New Dates Announced for Postponed Chattogram Board HSC Exams
The postponed 2026 Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and equivalent examinations across five districts under the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Chittagong, are set to resume on 27 July. The official revised examination schedule will be published via a formal notification shortly.
Professor Syed Akhtaruzzaman, President of the Inter-Education Board Coordination Committee and Chairman of the Dhaka Education Board, confirmed the update to The Daily Campus on Thursday afternoon.
Clarification on Social Media Rumors
The official confirmation follows the widespread circulation of an unverified notice across social media platforms claiming that Chittagong Board's HSC examinations would resume on 27 July. The Inter-Education Board Examination Controller Committee previously categorized that viral notice as fake and misleading.
In an urgent public notice signed earlier on Tuesday (21 July) by Professor Jasmin Taslima Banu, Convener of the Inter-Education Board Examination Controller Committee and Examination Controller of the Dhaka Education Board, authorities clarified that the circulated document held no official standing.
The committee emphasized that all official decisions, guidelines, and revised examination routines are published exclusively on the official websites and verified Facebook pages of the Ministry of Education, the Inter-Education Board Coordination Committee, and the respective education boards. Stakeholders were advised not to trust or spread unverified information circulating online.
Background on Flood Postponements
On 16 July, all remaining HSC and equivalent examinations under the Chittagong Education Board were suspended indefinitely.
Simultaneously, the remaining subject examinations for the Alim under the Madrasah Education Board, as well as the HSC (BMT), HSC (Vocational), and Diploma in Commerce examinations under the Technical Education Board, were also suspended in the affected region.
Authorities noted that the revised timetable for all remaining postponed subjects will be formally detailed in upcoming board notices.
