Inter-Education Board Issues Directive for HSC Examinations in 59 Districts
The Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and equivalent examinations across 59 districts of the country will proceed exactly as per the previously announced national schedule. However, the ongoing suspension of examinations scheduled for July 13, 15, and 16 under the Chittagong Education Board, as well as the Madrasah and Technical boards within that specific region, remains strictly in effect.
The five districts excluded from the nationwide schedule due to severe local flooding are Chittagong, Cox's Bazar, Rangamati, Khagrachhari, and Bandarban. The Inter-Education Board Coordination Committee finalized and clarified the guidelines through an official press release issued this evening, Sunday (July 12).
According to the official circular, examinations for all districts under the jurisdiction of the Dhaka, Rajshahi, Comilla, Jessore, Sylhet, Barisal, Dinajpur, and Mymensingh general education boards—alongside the Bangladesh Madrasah Education Board and the Bangladesh Technical Education Board (excluding districts under the Chittagong Board's division)—will be held continuously according to the pre-scheduled dates and timing matrices until further notice.
Conversely, the prior administrative deferral remains completely unchanged for all examinees sitting under the Chittagong Education Board, alongside Madrasah and Technical board candidates registered within those five specific flood-affected southeastern districts.
Consequently, the upcoming HSC, Alim, HSC (BMT), HSC (Vocational), and Diploma in Commerce examinations scheduled for July 13 (Monday), July 15 (Wednesday), and July 16 (Thursday) stand officially postponed within the Chittagong division.
