Education Board Issues Urgent CCTV Directives for HSC Examinations
The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Dhaka, has issued an urgent directive regarding the installation and operational management of CCTV cameras at examination centers for this year's HSC and equivalent examinations. According to the official notification, all centers must immediately submit the confidential access credentials for their surveillance systems along with the verified contact details of personnel assigned to the question paper treasury.
The directive was made public today, Monday, through an official circular signed by Professor Jasmin Taslima Banu, the Controller of Examinations for the Dhaka Education Board.
The board stated that to ensure a fair, secure, and disciplined environment for the upcoming HSC Examination 2026, it is mandatory to maintain uninterrupted internet connectivity with the DVR/NVR surveillance servers at all designated exam venues. Furthermore, real-time tracking of the administrative teams responsible for collecting and transporting question papers from regional treasuries and police stations has been prioritized to eliminate any scope of leakages.
The notification strictly instructs all institutional heads and center secretaries to transmit the required datasets to the designated official email address—controller@dhakaeducationboard.gov.bd—no later than June 8.
The emergency submission must explicitly include the precise digital identification IDs and passwords for all active CCTV units, alongside the camera brand names and hardware device serial numbers. In tandem with the digital security metrics, the centers are ordered to furnish the complete legal names, permanent addresses, and active mobile phone numbers of all teachers, office staff, and officially designated Tag Officers who are structurally involved in retrieving confidential question paper bundles from police stations or state treasuries. The Dhaka Education Board has explicitly flagged the matter as highly sensitive and critically time-bound.
