2027 HSC Exams Set to Begin June 6

The Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Boards have finalized the proposed schedule for the 2027 Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and equivalent examinations. According to the timeline, the exams are scheduled to commence on June 6, 2027, and conclude on July 13.

The information was confirmed by Ministry of Education sources on Thursday (May 14) afternoon. The Education Board noted that authorities reserve the right to modify this schedule if special circumstances arise.

The proposed schedule aligns with the recent policy objectives outlined by Education Minister Dr. A.N.M. Ehsanul Hoque Milan. The Minister has been vocal about reorganizing the academic calendar to eliminate session jams and facilitate smooth transitions for students.

Regarding the timing, the Minister stated, "We want to complete the HSC examinations within June so that students aspiring for higher education can apply for the Fall semester intake at universities without delay."

This decision follows a crucial meeting held at the Ministry on Wednesday (May 13), involving teachers, students, heads of institutions, and chairmen of various Education Boards. The consensus reached during that meeting served as the basis for setting these dates, ensuring that the academic cycle is restored to its pre-pandemic efficiency.
