The routine for this year’s Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and equivalent examinations is likely to be published tomorrow.

The examinations are scheduled to begin on 2 June. Although less than two months remain, the delay in publishing the routine has caused concern among students and guardians.

According to board sources, the Inter-Education Board Coordination Committee finalised the full routine on 30 March and sent it to the Education Ministry. However, due to the delay in receiving final approval from the ministry, the routine has not yet been published.

Dhaka Education Board Examination Controller Professor SM Kamal Uddin Haider told The Daily Campus on Wednesday night that they have completed their part of the work. “We hope to publish the routine on Sunday (tomorrow),” he said.

For the first time, the HSC examination will be held with identical question papers across all 9 general education boards and a total of 11 boards. Previously, madrasa and technical education boards had uniform questions, but the general boards conducted exams with separate question papers.

Stakeholders believe this decision will ensure uniformity in question quality and evaluation, bring greater transparency in merit assessment, and eliminate disparities in results among different boards.
