Actor Zaher Alvi’s Wife Ikra Dies by Suicide
Actress Ikra, wife of popular actor Zaher Alvi, has died by suicide. The news was confirmed to media by members of her family at her in-laws’ house.
A close relative of the deceased, requesting anonymity, said the incident occurred around 1:30 pm on Saturday (28 February) at a residence in Mirpur DOHS area.
Zaher Alvi is currently in Nepal. When contacted, he said: “He is not in a condition to speak right now.”
Ikra’s uncle Bipu Khan told media: “I have heard about the incident. I am in Bhaluka, Mymensingh. The entire family is heading to Dhaka from here.”
According to available information, Zaher Alvi and Ikra eloped and married on 9 November 2010 when she was just 19 years old. After 14 years of marriage, their union became public knowledge in 2024. They have a daughter named Priyamaya.
