Classes to Resume at BAU from October 5 After Prolonged Shutdown

Bangladesh Agricultural University (BAU) will resume regular classes and all academic activities starting October 5, following a prolonged period of closure. The announcement was made in an urgent notice issued on Tuesday (September 23), signed by the university’s Acting Registrar.

According to the notice, on August 31, following a meeting of the Academic Council, an emergency Syndicate meeting held online that same night decided to suspend all classes and examinations indefinitely. Students were also instructed to vacate residential halls by 9:00 AM on September 1.

The notice further states that a normal academic and research environment has now been restored. Consequently, classes will recommence as scheduled on October 5. Examination dates will be announced by the deans of respective faculties and the directors of institutes.

The decision to issue this notice was made during an emergency Syndicate meeting held online on September 23.
