The National University (NU) is set to release the second merit list for the first-year undergraduate (Honors) admission for the 2025–26 academic session today, Thursday, at 4:00 PM. Simultaneously, the results of the subject migration (change of subject) for students who secured admission under the first merit list will also be published.

The university’s Admission and Registration Cell announced the timeline via an urgent notice uploaded to its official portal yesterday, Wednesday.

How to check the results via SMS and Online

Applicants can access their results through two primary channels provided by the university administration:

• Via SMS (From 4:00 PM): Applicants need to open the text messaging application on their mobile phones, type NU ATHN Roll Number, and send the message to the official shortcode 16222. The result will be delivered in a reply text.

• Via Online Portal (From 9:00 PM): The results will be accessible digitally on the university's dedicated admission website or here. Candidates must navigate to the 'Honors Tab' and log into the applicant panel using their specific Application ID and PIN number.

Mandatory directive regarding dual enrollment

The university notification issued a strict warning regarding dual enrollment to safeguard institutional transparency. If any candidate selected in the second merit list is currently registered in any academic program or course under the 2024–25 academic session, they must formally cancel their previous admission by June 9, 2026, before filling out the final Honors admission form.

Failure to comply with this regulation will result in the immediate cancellation of both admissions and registrations under the strict dual-enrollment prevention clause. Additionally, students seeking subject migration must select the ‘Yes’ option in the designated field of the final admission form. The auto-migration will be processed strictly in accordance with merit rank and the availability of vacant seats.

Detailed admission and fee payment timeline

The National University has finalized the following operational schedule for candidates selected in the second merit list to complete their onboarding:

• Online Form Submission: Selected students must fill out the final admission form online and download the printed copy between June 3 and June 11, 2026.

• Registration Fee Payment: Candidates must deposit the official registration fee of Taka 1,130 to their respective colleges between June 4 and June 13, 2026.

• College Confirmation: Respective college authorities will verify and officially confirm the final admissions of the students from June 4 to June 14, 2026.

• Bank Clearance: The institutions will remit the aggregated registration fees due to the National University through Sonali Bank between June 15 and June 21, 2026.
