National University Admission Results: Pass Rate 80.36%

The National University (NU) has officially announced the results of the undergraduate (Honours) first-year admission tests for the 2025-2026 academic session. Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. A. S. M. Amanullah formally released the results today, Sunday (May 3), marking a record-breaking turnaround of just one week since the exams were held on April 25.

According to the official data, the overall pass rate this year stands at 80.36%. A total of 453,148 students participated in the admission test, out of which 364,135 students successfully passed. From the pool of successful candidates, 229,765 students have secured a place in the first merit list.

First Merit List Breakdown

The distribution of students across different streams in the first merit list is as follows:

  • Humanities: 113,394 students

  • Science: 65,337 students

  • Business Studies: 51,034 students

The result publication ceremony was attended by Pro-Vice-Chancellor Professor Md. Lutfur Rahman, Treasurer Professor Dr. A. T. M. Zafrul Azam, along with deans, the registrar, the controller of examinations, and other senior university officials.

How to Check Results

Students can access their results through two primary methods:

Via SMS: Go to the message option and type nu athn Application ID and send it to 16222. The result will be delivered in a reply message.

Online: Visit the university's official admission website at www.nu.ac.bd/admissions. Navigate to the 'Honours' tab and select the 'Admission Test Result' option to view the status. Detailed information is also available under the 'Prospectus (Honours)' or 'Important Notice' sections of the website.

With the first merit list now public, the university is moving toward the next phase of the admission process, including final form fill-ups and fee submissions, as the new academic session is scheduled to begin shortly.
