JU D Unit female admission test today, 227 aspirants compete per seat
The female candidates of D Unit (Faculty of Biological Sciences) under the 2025-26 academic session at Jahangirnagar University (JU) will sit for the last five shifts of the admission test today Wednesday. The test will begin at 9:00 am.
From the university's central admission test management committee sources, it is learnt that this year the highest number of examinees will compete in D Unit under Faculty of Biological Sciences. 70,220 students have applied against 310 seats in this unit. As a result, 227 aspirants will compete for each seat, which is the highest in this year's admission test.
On the ground, it is seen that since there are admission tests in two units today, admission aspirants and guardians started arriving at the designated centres from 6:30 am in the morning. Students were seen standing in queues at the examination centres. However, officials on duty at the centres said examinees will not be allowed to carry mobile phones, calculators or any other memory-equipped electronic devices to the examination hall.
Besides, part of A Unit and admission test of IBA-JU will be held on 28 December. This year's admission test activities will end with the remaining part of A Unit on 29 December.
In A Unit under Faculty of Mathematical and Physical Sciences, 60,351 persons have applied against 426 seats. In this unit, 142 aspirants will compete per seat.
Besides, in Institute of Business Administration (IBA-JU) Unit, 5,411 students have applied against 50 seats. Thus, about 108 aspirants will sit for the test per seat.
From the university's central admission test management committee sources, it is learnt that comparatively less competition will be in B Unit under Faculty of Social Sciences. Against 326 seats here, 20,583 persons have applied. In this unit, 63 persons will compete per seat.
