Medical-dental admission test results likely today
The results of the admission test for government and private medical and dental colleges for the 2025-26 academic session are expected to be published today, Sunday (14 December), possibly in the afternoon.
Additional Director General (Medical Education) of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) Prof Dr Rubina Yasmin said the exact time for publication has not yet been finalised, but she hopes it will be around noon. Once published, it will be announced on the website, and successful candidates will be informed.
On Saturday (13 December), DGHS Director General Prof Dr Nazmul Hossain said result preparation is underway in coordination with BUET and the Computer Science Department of Dhaka University, involving evaluation of a large number of answer sheets. He expressed optimism about publishing the results after noon on Sunday.
The MBBS and BDS admission test for the 2025-26 session was held simultaneously on Friday (12 December) from 10:00 am to 11:15 am at 17 centres and 49 venues across the country.
Director (Medical Education) Prof Dr Mohiuddin Matubbar said over 98 percent of candidates appeared, with an attendance rate of 98.22 percent and absence rate of 1.78 percent. The examination was conducted fairly overall, and results will be published soon, he added.
A total of 13,051 seats are available in government and private medical and dental colleges and units — 5,100 in government medical colleges, 545 in dental units, 6,001 in private medical colleges, and 1,405 in private dental colleges.
This year, 122,632 candidates applied, including 49,028 males and 73,604 females.
