DU extends admission application deadline by three days for re-scrutiny students
Dhaka University (DU) has extended the online application deadline for the 2025-26 undergraduate programme admission test by three days. Students can now apply until 19 November midnight.
The extension has been granted mainly for students whose HSC and equivalent exam results (GPA) have changed after re-scrutiny, ensuring they are not deprived of the chance to apply.
A notice published on the university’s admission website on Thursday (13 November) confirmed the development. Initially, the application process, which started on 29 October at 12 noon, was scheduled to end tonight Sunday (16 November) at 11:59 pm. According to the new decision, applications will now be accepted until 12 midnight on 19 November.
The notice states that the HSC re-scrutiny results will be published on 16 November. Keeping in mind students who become newly eligible due to changes in results, the online application deadline has been extended by three days while all other admission-related dates remain unchanged.
The 2025-26 undergraduate admission tests will be held under five units: Arts, Law and Social Sciences Unit; Science Unit; Business Education Unit; Fine Arts Unit; and IBA Unit.
As per the schedule:
- Business Education Unit: 6 December
- Fine Arts Unit (General Knowledge + Drawing): 29 November
- IBA Unit: 28 November
- Arts, Law and Social Sciences Unit: 13 December
- Science Unit: 20 December
Students whose results improve through re-scrutiny now have until 19 November midnight to complete their applications.
