When will applications for cluster universities admission start?
The decision on when applications for the cluster admission test for the 2025-26 academic year will begin is likely to be taken this week itself. There is a possibility that the application process for the admission test will start next week. Prior to this, the matter will be discussed in a meeting to be held this week with the cluster universities and the University Grants Commission (UGC). This information has been learned from sources in the admission test committee.
Earlier, on 23 October, the dates for the admission test were finalised in a meeting held at the conference room of the UGC building in Agargaon, the capital. As per the decision, the admission tests will be held on 27 March, 3 April and 10 April next year. The ‘C’ unit admission test will be held on 27 March. Besides, the ‘B’ unit on 3 April and the ‘A’ unit on 10 April.
This time, Professor Dr Nakib Md Nasrullah, Vice-Chancellor of Islamic University (IU), has been given the responsibility as convener of the cluster admission test committee. And Professor Dr Kazi Rafiqul Islam, Vice-Chancellor of Patuakhali Science and Technology University (PSTU), will serve as member-secretary.
Today Saturday (8 November), PSTU Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Kazi Rafiqul Islam told The Daily Campus, ‘The dates for the admission tests of the three units have already been fixed. There is a meeting with the UGC and the vice-chancellors of the cluster universities on 10 November. After that, we hope to start the activities related to the admission test applications next week.’
