Nure Tasmin Urme appointed UNO of Ghatail Upazila

Nure Tasmin Urme has been appointed Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) of Ghatail Upazila in Tangail by the Dhaka Divisional Commissioner’s Office. The appointment was made through an order issued on September 28, 2026. As UNO, she will also serve as an Executive Magistrate and exercise powers under Section 144 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1898.

A 37th BCS (Administration) cadre officer, Urme joined the civil service in April 2019. She has since served in various administrative positions, including Assistant Commissioner in Khulna and Assistant Commissioner (Land) in Sirajganj, Tangail and Gazipur.

She also served as UNO of Bagerhat Sadar Upazila. During her tenure as Assistant Commissioner (Land) in Tarash, Sirajganj, she focused on resolving complex land-related issues faced by underprivileged elderly women.

Her initiatives in addressing land disputes received wide appreciation. She also gained public trust by resolving long-pending cases at the Basail Upazila Land Office and ensuring regular access to land-related services. Urme holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in International Relations from the University of Dhaka.
