The results of this year's Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and equivalent examinations will be published on Thursday, October 29. The Inter-Education Board Coordination Committee will announce details, including the publication time and methods of checking results, through a press release on Monday, October 26.

According to relevant sources, education boards are continuing preparations for publishing the results. Results for candidates under the general education boards, the Madrasah Education Board and the Technical Education Board will be published on the scheduled date. The results will not be available before October 29, although details on how and where to check them will be announced earlier.

The boards said Monday's notice would provide specific instructions on the result publication time, how to check results online and how to obtain them through SMS. This will help students and their guardians understand how to collect the results on the day of publication.

Earlier, in a notice issued on Saturday night, October 24, Inter-Education Board Coordination Committee President and Dhaka Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board Chairman Professor Syed Akhtaruzzaman confirmed the decision to publish the results on October 29.

The notice stated, “For the information of all concerned, it is hereby announced that a decision has been taken to publish the results of the HSC and equivalent examinations 2026 on October 29 (Thursday). Detailed information regarding the results will be communicated through a press release on October 26 (Monday).”

Speaking to The Daily Campus, Professor Syed Akhtaruzzaman said the HSC results would be published next Thursday and that the decision had been finalised. He added that the decision was taken after discussions with Education and Primary and Mass Education Minister Dr ANM Ehsanul Haque Milon.

The HSC and equivalent examinations began on July 2 this year. Although the written examinations were scheduled to end on August 8, several examinations under the Chattogram Education Board could not be held as scheduled because of natural disasters. The postponed examinations were held later, and the board's written examinations concluded on September 9.

A total of 1,270,583 regular and irregular candidates sat the HSC and equivalent examinations this year.
