The Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education (DSHE) has completed all preparations to publish the transfer results of MPO-listed teachers working at private schools and colleges. The results could be announced at any time once Education Minister Dr ANM Ehsanul Haque Milon gives his approval, sources said.

A DSHE source said on Sunday (October 18) that there were no complications with the transfer software. However, applicants have raised demands regarding the cancellation and correction of applications, and addressing those demands falls under the government's policymaking authorities.

The source said DSHE had no further action to take on the matter and was ready to publish the results as soon as the education minister approved them.

Asked about the matter, DSHE Director General Professor Dr Khan Moinuddin Al Mahmud Sohel told The Daily Campus, “The education minister is currently abroad. We will discuss the publication of the transfer results after he returns to the country.”

Meanwhile, MPO-listed teachers have announced plans to launch a movement from November 4 if transfer orders are not issued by October 31.

The programme will be organised by the Bangladesh Madrasa Teachers and Employees Forum.

On Saturday, Principal Delwar Hossain Azizi, member secretary of the MPO-listed Education Nationalisation Expectant Alliance and president of the Bangladesh Madrasa Teachers and Employees Forum, shared a banner announcing the programme in a Facebook post.

According to the post, teachers will stage a sit-in in front of the Directorate of Madrasa Education on November 4 if transfer orders are not issued by October 31.

Applications for the transfer of MPO-listed teachers at private schools and colleges closed on September 13. A total of 13,678 applications were submitted.

However, the actual number of applicants remains unknown because each candidate was allowed to select multiple institutions as transfer preferences.
