DSHE orders cancellation of MPO for nine teachers

The Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education (DSHE) has ordered the cancellation of MPO approval granted in September 2026 to nine teachers from Natore and Rajshahi districts, saying the approvals were made mistakenly.

The directive was issued in a letter dated September 29, 2026, by DSHE’s Private College Branch-3. According to the letter, the director of DSHE’s Rajshahi regional office informed the directorate that the MPO approvals for the nine teachers had been issued inadvertently and requested their cancellation.

The letter referred to a directive issued by the Ministry of Education on November 11, 2015, which suspended the recruitment of teachers against vacant posts in private educational institutions.

Under paragraph 3 of that directive, any recruitment made against a post based on an appointment notice published on or after October 22, 2015, was to be considered invalid.

The DSHE letter said the decision to cancel the MPO approvals of the nine teachers was taken in light of that directive, as their approvals had been granted mistakenly by the director of the Rajshahi regional office.

The teachers listed for MPO cancellation are:

• Farhana Akter, Lecturer in Accounting

• Saiful Islam, Lecturer in Marketing

• Md Aminul Islam, Lecturer in Physics
