19th NTRCA registration notice may be issued by October or November

The Non-Government Teachers’ Registration and Certification Authority (NTRCA) plans to publish the notice for the 19th Teachers’ Registration Examination, also known as the 9th NTRCA entry-level teacher recruitment test, within the next two months.

According to an NTRCA source on Thursday (September 10), the notice is likely to be issued after the ongoing transfer process for MPO-listed teachers at private schools, colleges, madrasas and technical institutions is completed.

An NTRCA official, speaking to The Daily Campus on condition of anonymity, said the Education Ministry has urged the authority to publish the notice by October.

“The Education Ministry has urged us to publish the notice within October. We are working accordingly. However, if the teacher transfer process is not completed by then, the notice may be published around November,” the official said.

The official added that preparations for the registration notice are already underway and that the entry-level teacher recruitment notice will be issued immediately after the transfer process ends.

Ministry targets October

Education Minister Dr ANM Ehsanul Haque Milon also said the government plans to publish the notice for the 19th Teachers’ Registration Examination by October.

He made the disclosure in response to a question tabled in Parliament on Tuesday.

According to the minister, NTRCA is preparing to conduct the 19th Teachers’ Registration Examination, or the 9th NTRCA entry-level teacher recruitment examination, to recruit teachers for private educational institutions.

The authority has already collected information on vacant entry-level teaching posts at educational institutions.

Under the Non-Government Teachers’ Registration Examination, Registration and Certification Rules, 2025, the syllabus for 106 existing posts has been updated, while syllabi for 13 new posts have been prepared.

Work is also underway to prepare a circular concerning the entry-level teacher recruitment examination.

The minister said the notice is expected to be published around October 2026 after approval of the syllabi and circular, updating the online application platform and completing the necessary administrative approvals.

No fixed interval under new rules

The new rules do not require the teachers’ registration examination to be held at a fixed interval. Under the Non-Government Teachers’ Registration Examination, Registration and Certification Rules, 2006, NTRCA was required to conduct the examination at least once in every calendar year.

However, the 2025 rules do not contain any provision requiring the examination to be held at a specific interval. According to the education minister, future examinations will instead be organised based on the number of vacancies at educational institutions, teacher demand, recruitment preparations and administrative approvals.

He said a circular is currently being prepared to ensure the examination is conducted properly and regularly under the new system.
