SSC re-scrutiny results published, over 3,000 students gain GPA-5
The results of the 2026 SSC and equivalent examination re-scrutiny have been published, with 3,079 students newly achieving GPA-5, according to Inter-Education Board sources. The results were published simultaneously by all 11 education boards at 10am on Thursday (September 10).
More than 400,000 candidates applied for re-scrutiny after the publication of the SSC and equivalent examination results, submitting nearly 1.29 million applications for their answer scripts. Of the total applications, 1,056,455 were submitted for theoretical examination answer scripts, while 231,471 were for practical examinations.
This year, the boards have also introduced a change in the re-scrutiny process. Answer scripts will be re-evaluated as part of the process. Previously, education board rules did not allow for the re-evaluation of answer scripts.
Nearly 13 lakh re-scrutiny applications
The SSC and equivalent examination results were originally published on August 10. Following the results, applications for re-scrutiny were accepted online from August 11 to 17.
According to education board sources, a total of 402,051 candidates under the 11 education boards submitted 1,287,926 applications for re-scrutiny. Of these, 1,056,455 applications were for theoretical examinations and 231,471 were for practical examinations.
The large number of applications came against the backdrop of a relatively low pass rate this year. Across the nine general education boards, the pass rate fell to 64.05%, the lowest in 19 years. The pass rate also declined compared with the previous year, while the number of students achieving GPA-5 fell by around 19,000.
Combining the nine general education boards with the Madrasa Education Board and Technical Education Board, the overall pass rate stood at 62.25%. More than 1.82 million candidates took the examination this year, meaning nearly 38% did not pass.
How to check the re-scrutiny result
Applicants can check their re-scrutiny results in three ways. The results have been published on the respective education boards’ websites from 10am on Thursday. Applicants will also receive the results by SMS on the mobile numbers provided during the application process.
They can also check the results online through the designated re-scrutiny portal. Applicants need to visit the SSC 2026 Re-scrutiny and Evaluation Results website and enter the required information to view their results.
