Board issues show-cause notice to school after all students score GPA-5
The Dhaka Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board has issued a show-cause notice to Nasima Kadir Molla High School & Homes in Narsingdi after all of its students secured GPA-5 in this year’s SSC examination, amid allegations that irregular methods may have been used to achieve the result.
The issue came to the board’s attention after reports were published in various media outlets about the school’s 100% GPA-5 result. The board has asked the institution to explain whether any rule-breaking strategy was used to achieve the result.
The information was disclosed in an office order issued by the Dhaka Education Board on Sunday (August 16). The notice, signed by the board’s school inspector, Professor Dr Md Masud Rana Khan, asked the institution to provide an explanation regarding the allegations.
According to the notice, allegations have emerged that Nasima Kadir Molla High School & Homes in Narsingdi Sadar upazila adopted “irregular strategies” to achieve a 100% GPA-5 result in the 2026 SSC examination.
To verify the allegations, the board has asked the school to submit various student-related records and documents. The institution has been instructed to appear in person before the board with information on enrolled students, students registered in Class IX, students who took the SSC selection examination and students whose forms were filled out for the SSC examination.

The school may also be required to produce approval documents for its teaching activities, academic sections and additional class sections, the notice said.
The institution has been directed to appear before the board within seven working days with the required documents and explain its position regarding the allegations. The notice described the matter as “extremely urgent.”
