MPO Teachers’ Transfer Applications to Begin Soon, Says DSHE DG

The Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education (DSHE) is set to inform the Education Ministry on Sunday about starting the online transfer application process for MPO-listed teachers at private schools and colleges, according to its Director General Professor Dr Khan Moinuddin Al Mahmud Sohel.

Teachers began receiving their user IDs and passwords for the online transfer system from Saturday afternoon. The Daily Campus contacted the DSHE director general later in the day to learn about the next step. Professor Sohel said the DSHE’s work was currently complete as teachers had received their login credentials. The application process, however, requires approval from the Education Ministry.

“Teachers have received their user IDs and passwords, so for now the DSHE’s work is complete. We now need to start accepting applications. This requires approval from the Education Ministry. We will inform the ministry about the matter tomorrow,” he said.

He said Education Minister Dr ANM Ehsanul Haque Milon was directly overseeing the transfer process. “The education minister is directly supervising the teachers’ transfer process. So tomorrow, the minister will be briefed on the overall situation. Once the ministry gives approval, we will issue a notice to begin accepting transfer applications,” Professor Sohel said.

Teachers Can Apply for Transfer to Only Three Areas

Teachers working at private schools and colleges will not be able to apply for transfers outside three designated areas. If a teacher tries to apply beyond those areas, the software will show a notification stating that the applicant is not eligible. According to DSHE sources, the transfer policy allows teachers to apply only for their own district, their spouse’s home district, or the district where their spouse works.

The software has been configured accordingly and will not accept applications outside these areas. A DSHE official, speaking on condition of anonymity, told The Daily Campus, “There is no opportunity to apply outside one’s own district, the spouse’s home district and the spouse’s workplace. Even if someone wants to, they will not be able to apply.”
