Teacher Transfer Issue Not Discussed at PM Meeting Due to Incomplete Preparation

Education Minister Dr. A. N. M. Ehsanul Hoque Milon wrapped up a high-level meeting with Prime Minister Tarique Rahman on Thursday, where decisions were finalized on student admissions and welfare funds, though teacher transfer proposals were excluded from the discussions.
DHAKA — The closed-door meeting between Prime Minister Tarique Rahman and Education and Primary and Mass Education Minister Dr. A. N. M. Ehsanul Hoque Milon concluded on Thursday evening, with officials confirming that the anticipated discussion on teacher transfers was omitted due to a lack of administrative preparation.
According to sources at the Prime Minister's Office, the deliberations primarily focused on student admissions for classes one through nine, the retirement benefit board, and the disbursement of funds from the welfare trust. While concrete decisions were reached regarding student admissions and related administrative matters, the topic of non-government teacher transfers was completely left off the table.
Speaking to The Daily Campus on condition of anonymity, a senior official from the Prime Minister's Office elaborated on the decision to bypass the transfer issue.
"Due to a lack of preparation, the issue of teacher transfers was not presented at the meeting," the official stated. "The Education Minister informed that work on the matter is ongoing and that the full proposal will be brought before the Prime Minister once the entire process is completed."
The consultation took place at the Prime Minister's Office on Thursday afternoon. The Education Minister was accompanied by the Prime Minister's Advisor on Education, Dr. Mahdi Amin, alongside representatives from the Secondary and Higher Education Division.
