Over 18.57 Lakh Students to Appear in SSC and Equivalent Exams 2026

A total of 18,57,344 students will participate in this year’s Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and equivalent examinations.

According to data released by the Inter-Education Board Coordination Committee on Sunday (19 April), the breakdown is as follows:

  • 9 General Education Boards: 14,18,398 students (Boys: 6,67,305, Girls: 7,51,093)
  • Madrasa Education Board: 3,04,286 students (Boys: 1,61,491, Girls: 1,42,795)
  • Technical Education Board: 1,34,660 students (Boys: 1,01,509, Girls: 33,151)

Board-wise Number of Examinees:

  • Dhaka Board: 3,66,650 (Boys: 1,69,939, Girls: 1,96,711)
  • Rajshahi Board: 1,77,709 (Boys: 93,174, Girls: 84,535)
  • Cumilla Board: 1,46,817 (Boys: 58,877, Girls: 87,940)
  • Jessore Board: 1,35,089 (Boys: 66,928, Girls: 68,161)
  • Chattogram Board: 1,30,668 (Boys: 56,325, Girls: 74,343)
  • Dinajpur Board: 1,81,854 (Boys: 92,692, Girls: 89,162)
  • Mymensingh Board: 1,08,359 (Boys: 55,926, Girls: 52,433)
  • Barishal Board: 81,831 (Boys: 37,944, Girls: 43,887)
  • Sylhet Board: 89,421 (Boys: 35,530, Girls: 53,891)

Total examination centres: 3,885 Participating institutions: 30,666

The examinations are scheduled to begin on 2 July 2026.
