Education Minister Dismisses Rumours of ‘No Head Turning’ During Exams
Education and Primary & Mass Education Minister Dr. A N M Ehsanul Haque Milon has dismissed rumours circulating on social media that students will not be allowed to turn their heads during the upcoming SSC and equivalent examinations.
Speaking as the chief guest at a meeting with centre secretaries of the Rajshahi Education Board on Saturday (11 April) at Rajshahi Medical College Auditorium, the minister said:
“Rumours have been spread that this time students will not be allowed to turn their heads in the exam hall. Why wouldn’t they turn their heads? Everyone has turned their heads during exams. We are not going to install CCTV cameras to catch that.”
He further assured students, saying he has not threatened anyone and there is no reason for them to worry. “I will only resign if I fail to conduct the exams properly,” he added.
The meeting was presided over by Prof. A N M Mofakkharul Islam, Chairman of Rajshahi Education Board. Local MPs, the Divisional Commissioner, Chairman of the Madrasa Education Board, and senior officials of the Education Ministry were present.
