Education Minister Dr. A.N.M. Ehsanul Haq Milon has directed the Non-Government Teachers Registration and Certification Authority (NTRCA) to complete the recruitment process for head teachers and principals in non-government schools and colleges as quickly as possible.

The directive was issued on Sunday (1 March) during a meeting with NTRCA Chairman Md. Aminul Islam. State Minister for Education Bobby Hajjaj and senior NTRCA officials were also present.

An NTRCA official who attended the meeting told The Daily Campus: “The NTRCA Chairman briefed the Education Minister on the overall activities of the authority. At that time, the minister advised completing the head teacher/principal recruitment process before April.”

The official added: “The minister urged that the viva voce be completed by June. The NTRCA Chairman assured that the work will be carried out accordingly.”

More than 86,000 candidates have applied for the head teacher/principal positions in non-government schools, colleges, technical institutions, and madrasas. The MCQ-type written examination is likely to be held on 17 and 18 April.

According to an NTRCA source on Saturday, a total of 86,443 candidates applied. The application deadline ended on Thursday, and the fee submission window closed on Friday.
