DUCSU Election Set for 9 September 2025, Schedule Announced

The Dhaka University Central Students’ Union (DUCSU) and Hall Union elections, long dormant, will take place on 9 September, with the election schedule announced today by the university’s election commission.
The announcement was made at 4:00 pm on Tuesday, 29 July, in the conference room on the second floor of the Nabab Nawab Ali Chowdhury Senate Bhaban. Chief Returning Officer Professor Dr. Mohammad Jasim Uddin, from the Botany Department, detailed the schedule, stating that voting will occur from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm on 9 September. For the first time in DUCSU’s history, six voting centers will be set up outside residential halls to accommodate students from the 2019-20 session to the current academic year, eligible as both candidates and voters.

Voting centers are assigned as follows:

Curzon Hall: Students from Dr. Muhammad Shahidullah, Amar Ekushey, and Fazlul Huq Halls.

Physical Education Centre: Students from Jagannath, Shahid Sergeant Zahurul Huq, and Salimullah Muslim Halls.

Teacher-Student Centre: Students from Rokeya, Shamsun Nahar, and Kabi Sufia Kamal Halls.

Dhaka University Club: Students from Bangladesh-Kuwait Maitree and Sheikh Fazilatunnesa Mujib Halls.

Senate Building: Students from Sir A.F. Rahman, Haji Muhammad Mohsin, and Bijoy Ekattor Halls.

Udayan School and College: Students from Masterda Surja Sen, Mukti Juddha Ziaur Rahman, Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, and Kabi Jasim Uddin Halls.
