DU Invites Applications for 46 Vacant Seats in 3 Departments
Dhaka University (DU) still has 46 vacant seats in three departments under the Science Unit for the 2025-26 undergraduate admission. The university has invited applications from eligible candidates who qualified in the admission test but could not attend the interview.
According to a notice signed by Prof. Dr. Md. Enamul Haque, Dean of the Faculty of Biological Sciences and Coordinator of the Science Unit, applications are being accepted for the departments of Computer Science and Engineering, Nuclear Engineering, and Robotics and Mechatronics.
The notice states that students who are eligible for these programmes (those who included them in their subject preference list) but could not submit their original grade sheets during the scheduled interview may apply for the vacant seats.
There are 17 vacant seats in Computer Science and Engineering, 16 in Nuclear Engineering, and 13 in Robotics and Mechatronics.
To be eligible for admission in these subjects, candidates must have obtained at least 15 marks each in Physics and Mathematics for Computer Science and Engineering, 13 marks each for Nuclear Engineering, and 13 in Physics and 14 in Mathematics for Robotics and Mechatronics.
Interested students have been asked to submit written applications to the Science Unit office (located at the Faculty of Biological Sciences, Curzon Hall area) by 30 March during office hours.
Subject allocation based on merit from the applications will be published on 31 March. Students who receive subject allocation must submit their original grade sheets by 5 April.
