Government to Aid Milestone Crash Victims and Honor Deceased Teachers

The Advisory Council has adopted a condolence resolution honoring the victims of the tragic BAF aircraft crash at Milestone School and College in Uttara, Dhaka. The decision was made during a regular meeting held on Thursday morning (24 July) at the Chief Adviser’s Office.
The meeting began with a minute of silence to honor the deceased, followed by prayers for their souls. The council expressed deep condolences to the victims’ families and committed to providing all necessary support to the families of the deceased and those injured. The Ministry of Education will coordinate with Milestone School authorities to implement these measures.
The council also decided to confer state honors on two teachers who lost their lives in the incident. The specific nature of the honors will be determined shortly. Additionally, special prayer ceremonies will be held at religious institutions across the country on Friday (25 July) to pray for the souls of the deceased and the swift recovery of the injured, coordinated by the Ministry of Religious Affairs.
The crash, which occurred on Monday (21 July), led to significant casualties and prompted the government to declare a day of national mourning on Tuesday (22 July), as announced by the Chief Adviser’s Press Wing.
