The Narayanganj City unit of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) has declared Nasiruddin Patwari, Chief Coordinator of the National Citizen Party (NCP), persona non grata in Narayanganj following alleged offensive remarks made by NCP leaders against Prime Minister Tarique Rahman.

The declaration was announced on Saturday (August 1) afternoon by Fateh Mohammad Reza Ripon, Joint Convener of Narayanganj City BNP, during a protest rally and demonstration held in the city.

Addressing the gathering, Ripon warned that party activists would physically resist Nasiruddin Patwari if he attempts to step foot in Narayanganj in the future.

"Where was this fraud Nasiruddin Patwari for the last 17 years? He worked as an executive at PRAN-RFL Group. Where were Patwari, Asif Mahmud, and Nahid before August 5? They emerged into leadership after hiding under the wings of the Awami League and Chhatra League. Derogatory remarks from such individuals will not harm the standing of successful Prime Minister Tarique Rahman," Ripon stated during his speech.

The protest procession, organized by Narayanganj City BNP, originated from Chashara, marched through the 2nd Railgate area, and culminated in a rally at Missionpara.

The rally was presided over by Abu Al Yusuf Khan Tipu, Member Secretary of Narayanganj City BNP. Other prominent local leaders who addressed the gathering included Narayanganj City BNP Joint Conveners Anwar Hossain Anu, Adv. Rafiqul Islam, and Aolad Hossain, alongside Narayanganj Sadar Thana BNP President Masud Rana.
