51 Awami League Leaders and Activists Resign in Gopalganj
Fifty-one leaders and activists across various organizational levels of the Awami League in Muksudpur Upazila of Gopalganj have announced their resignation from all party positions and primary memberships.
The press conferences were held from Sunday (August 2) morning through night across Muksudpur Municipality and several unions within the upazila.
Among the key figures resigning from Muksudpur Municipality are former Ward 4 commissioner and Cultural Affairs Secretary Billal Molla, member Palash Molla;
Other municipal resignations include Ward 5 members Hannan Sheikh, Shajon Shikder, Mamun Hasan, Saiyad Sheikh, Abul Hossain (Abu), and Masud Munshi;
At the union level, Ujani Union Awami League Treasurer Haridas Biswas, Vice President Pronoy Karmakar, Cultural Affairs Secretary Mohan Bashi Pandey, members Nipen Pandey, Buddhi Kanti Pandey, and Mrittunjoy Pandey stepped down, along with Ward 6 Cultural Affairs Secretary Khipu Molla and Ward 4 member Yad Ali Molla.
During the briefings, the resigning leaders stated that they voluntarily decided to step down from all party activities and formal posts, declaring that they hold no further connection with the Awami League moving forward.
