Bangladesh Passport Ranking Drops to 95th Globally – Worse than Uganda
Bangladesh’s passport has slipped two places in the latest Henley Passport Index 2026, falling from 93rd to 95th position.
According to the latest ranking released by Henley & Partners, Singapore holds the top spot with visa-free or visa-on-arrival access to 192 countries. Japan, South Korea, and the UAE are in second place, followed by several European nations.
Bangladesh’s Position
- Bangladesh is now ranked 95th, allowing its citizens visa-free or visa-on-arrival access to only 36 countries.
- This places Bangladesh 27 positions below Uganda (68th).
- Neighbouring countries: India (76th), Bhutan (85th), and Myanmar (90th).

The Henley Passport Index is based on data from the International Air Transport Association (IATA) and measures the number of destinations passport holders can visit without a prior visa.
