Dilara Hafiz, Wife of Speaker Hafiz Uddin Ahmed, Passes Away
Dilara Hafiz, wife of Jatiya Sangsad Speaker Major (Retd.) Hafiz Uddin Ahmed, has passed away. She breathed her last at Singapore General Hospital on Saturday (28 March) at 1:29 p.m. local time while undergoing treatment. (Inna Lillahi wa Inna Ilaihi Raji’un).
Dilara Hafiz was 78 years old. She is survived by her husband, one son, one daughter, grandchildren, and a large number of admirers.
Her body is expected to be brought to Bangladesh tomorrow evening. The first namaz-e-janaza will be held on 30 March.
On that day, her body will be placed at the South Plaza of the Jatiya Sangsad. After the janaza prayer following Zuhr at the Central Mosque of the Cantonment, she will be laid to rest at the Banani Military Graveyard.
