Prime Minister’s Office Issues Gazette: 10 Advisers Assigned Portfolios

The Cabinet Division has issued a gazette notification appointing 10 advisers with ministerial and state ministerial rank in the new government led by Prime Minister Tarique Rahman. The notification was issued on Tuesday (24 February).
Ministerial Rank Advisers
- Mirza Abbas Uddin Ahmed, Nazrul Islam Khan, and Ruhul Kabir Rizvi Ahmed – Political Advisers to the Prime Minister
- Md. Ismail Jabiullah – Adviser, Ministry of Public Administration
- Rashed Al Mahmud Titumir – Adviser, Ministry of Finance and Planning
State Ministerial Rank Advisers
- Humayun Kabir – Adviser for Ministries of Foreign Affairs; Disaster Management and Relief; Civil Aviation and Tourism
- Brigadier General (Retd.) Shamsul Islam – Adviser, Ministry of Defence
- Zahed Ur Rahman – Adviser, Policy and Strategy
- Mahadi Amin – Adviser for Ministries of Education; Primary and Mass Education; Expatriates’ Welfare and Overseas Employment; and Labour and Employment
- Rehan Asif Asad – Adviser for Ministries of Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology; and Science and Technology
The notification states that the order takes immediate effect.
