Cabinet Division Issues Strict Directive to Government Officials on Punctuality
The Cabinet Division has issued a strong directive to officials and employees of all government, semi-government, autonomous, and semi-autonomous institutions, emphasizing strict adherence to official attendance and departure timings.
A notification signed by Deputy Secretary Khandaker Monwar Morshed was issued on Tuesday (24 February). It states that, in line with the Government Employees (Regular Attendance) Rules, 2019, and Secretariat Instruction No. 86 of 2024, all officials and employees must arrive and leave the office at the designated times.
The notification directs all relevant authorities to take necessary measures to ensure compliance and to instruct subordinate offices and organizations accordingly.
It further clarifies that field-level officers and staff must obtain prior permission from their respective authorities before leaving the workplace on weekly or other holidays.
