PM Tarique Rahman Pays Tribute at National Memorial
Newly elected Prime Minister Tarique Rahman paid tribute at the National Memorial in Savar this Wednesday at 11 am. He first laid a wreath alone in honor of the martyrs of the great Liberation War. He then laid a second wreath with members of his cabinet.

After the tribute, the Prime Minister signed the visitor's book at the memorial and planted a tree. He and his cabinet members then will proceed to the graves of former President Ziaur Rahman and former Prime Minister Khaleda Zia. There, they will offer floral tributes and perform jiarat to pay respects.
Later, the Prime Minister will go to the Secretariat for a cabinet meeting in the afternoon. This will be the first cabinet meeting of the new government. After the meeting, he will hold discussions with secretaries.
