PM Tarique Rahman Appoints 10 Advisers with Ministerial Ranks
Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has appointed 10 advisers with the ranks of ministers and state ministers. The appointments were announced today in a gazette notification signed by Cabinet Secretary Dr. Nasimul Ghani. The Prime Minister exercised powers under Rule 3(b) of the Rules of Business, 1996.
Five advisers have been given the rank of ministers: Mirza Abbas Uddin Ahmed, Nazrul Islam Khan, Ruhul Kabir Rizvi Ahmed, Md Ismail Zabiullah, and Rashed Al Mahmud Titumir. Five others received the rank of state ministers: Humayun Kabir, Brigadier General (retd) Shamsul Islam, Dr Jahedur Rahman, Mahdi Amin, and Rehan Asif Asad.
The appointees will enjoy the status, salaries, allowances, and other benefits equivalent to ministers and state ministers. The appointments take immediate effect.
